No iLvl Requirement Raids:
The following raids can be accessed with no item level requirement:
- Obsidian Sanctum
- Naxxramas
- Eye of Eternity (EoE)
- Ulduar
- Onyxia
Bind on Equip Policy
All items below item level 251 are Bind on Equip (BoE). This allows players to gear up quickly via the auction house or trades.
(Icecrown Citadel and Above Items are > 251 Item Level and therefore not BoE.)
Progression Philosophy
This progression system encourages players to complete earlier content before stepping into higher-tier raids. It’s not hard-gated, so alts and new players can catch up quickly thanks to BoE gear.
Hard gating with raid locks or strict progression tiers has been shown to push players away—especially during Ulduar and Trial of the Crusader tiers.
